French hard core act Shoot The Girl First sign to Redfield Records

Up and coming French metalcore band, Shoot The Girl First, have just been signed to Redfield Records. By signing, the band can produce their new album entitled ” I Confess” due to be released on April 1st of 2016.

Although the band has been touring and produced an album before, this will be the first album to be made with the addition of Shoot The Girl First’s new vocalist, Alex Sayti.

In a post on the band’s website, a quick statement was made about the signing news :

We are also proud to announce that STGF is now a part of Modern Empire (Chelsea Grin, Attila, Slaves…) for the American territory management.
After Mike Milford‘s departure from Artery Recordings and The Artery Foundation, we chose to follow him to Modern Empire.
Mike has been our manager since the beginning, and we feel that it is logical to keep working with him for our future endeavors. STGF has been in touch with Redfield Records since 2012 – before the signing with Artery.
After our departure from Artery, Redfield Records was our priority contact. Alexander and his team in Germany have done an awesome job to push this new record, and we’re very happy to work with them.

The future is definitely looking bright for Shoot The Girl First in anticipation for the upcoming album. Congratulations on the signing Shoot The Girl First!

Sum 41 Finishing New Album?

By funding the project via PledgeMusic, Sum 41 vocalist, Deryck Whibley released news about the band’s upcoming fourth album via an interview with Fuse.  By being the first album in 5 years to be released and with Whibley’s battles with overcoming alcoholism, this release is a big one for Sum 41.

Within the interview, Whibley mentioned that the album was coming together which is great news to all the loyal fans who have pledged and donated money to help fund the project, and how the band feels free to work without a record label.

Whibley stated, “We’re on the last home-stretch of the record. It’s getting there. It’s been about a year – since we started working on it. There have been some months off because we had to do shows, some things here and there. If I had to add it all up, it’s been eight months over the course of the last year.”

The Summer Set return with “Figure Me Out” and album news

Pop harmonies and jaunty choruses mark the image of The Summer Set, but they return from a musical hiatus with a fresh sound with the premiere of new song “Figure Me Out”.

“Figure Me Out” is a powerful song, with various lyrics that can be relatable to all and sets up the hype value for the upcoming album.

Although the vocal range of frontman Brian Dales alone is a magnificent sight, his skills on the piano throughout the song definitely sets the mood for the song to call for inspiration.

The new album entitled ‘Stories for Monday‘ is set for release on April 1st, making this the band’s fourth full-length album released by Fearless Records.
